Saddle Stitch Booklets are commonly used for various purposes, such as product catalogs, event programs, brochures, instruction manuals, newsletters, and more. They are cost-effective, easy to produce, and provide a professional appearance. However, saddle stitch binding is most suitable for booklets with a relatively low page count, typically ranging from 8 to 64 pages, as the thickness of the booklet can become impractical for this binding method.

*** If Gloss Coated Inside Pages is Selected - 100# Gloss Text will be used up to 24 pages. 28 pages and more will be switched to 80# Gloss Text to keep the book a manageable thickness.

What is Saddle Stitching:

  1. Binding Method: Saddle stitch booklets are created by folding a stack of printed sheets in half and placing them on a saddle stitch machine. The machine inserts wire staples through the fold line, securing the pages together.

  2. Page Count: Saddle stitch booklets typically have a page count that is divisible by four, as each folded sheet forms four pages. For example, a saddle stitch booklet may have 8, 12, 16, 20, or 24 pages, etc.
